Last year 160 local artists contributed to a mystery painting challenge – The Bigger Picture - which resulted in a large scale collaborative recreation of a local little known masterpiece from C1800. Working in partnership with the Lynn Museum once more, we are throwing down the gauntlet again in 2012 and have selected another hidden gem, this time focussing on Heritage Buildings of King’s Lynn. We are asking Norfolk based artists to show their colours and join together to recreate it in small pieces without knowing the identity of the picture until the big reveal at the Opening event! The Bigger Picture will be the centre-piece of an exhibition in which each artist will be invited to exhibit one picture of their own of a heritage building of Lynn taken from a list of 12. Arts Centre Patron Mark Hill will then choose one picture of each building to be reproduced in a Heritage Calendar for King’s Lynn! To register and to obtain full details, please email nick.neal@kingslynnarts.co.uk and you will be sent your piece of board, a small section of the picture and the information about the calendar competition.
